about maddie
I’m Maddie (they/them), a full-spectrum doula based on Tongva Land / Los Angeles, CA, where I am from.
My practice centers autonomy, informed consent, and compassionate care for all reproductive moments. I came to doula work after being moved by fellow birthworkers to create client-centered, advocacy-driven models within and outside of our healthcare system. One-on-one work with clients continues to inspire my broader visions for the future of reproductive equity.
Services include birth, postpartum, fertility, pregnancy loss, and abortion support. My practice is guided by the belief that all people deserve reproductive experiences that center their needs, desires, and choices. As a queer person, I am excited to support the LGBTQIA+ population with expansive and gender-affirming care. I support clients in feeling prepared and informed before their births, and help them feel as comfortable as possible in a meaningful birth experience and memory.
I co-founded and am Director at the Los Angeles Abortion Support Collective (LAASC), a collective of abortion doulas providing emotional, physical, and educational support to people seeking abortion care in our city. I have my Master of Public Health (MPH) from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, focused on community-based participatory research, reproductive health, and queer and trans health.

“Maddie was there for me during my birthing process and they were very caring and communicated throughout in a clear manner. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a birth doula because they are patient and coordinated in their work. Although my birth choices had to change along the line, they were still available and supported me in different ways to meet the demands of the changes. Thank you, Maddie!”
